Have You Honored Your Name?
Proverbs 22:1 (NLV)
"A good name is to be chosen instead of many riches. Favor is better than silver and gold."
The one thing God gave each one of us is a soul, a body and a word to identify each of us uniquely. A name is what identifies us. The name is like a line of credit. We got that line of credit without applying for it. But what will we do with that line of credit since it was freely given to us? Our word is our bond. How we live is what represents our names. We received a name without a bad report. Once we dishonor our word given to others... once we live a life that blemishes the name given... it is very hard to restore a name.
God gave us land and seed... and a name. A name is more valuable than riches. A good name finds favor. A bad name only begets what it has dished out. Do not do anything to taint your name. Walk in truth in everything we do!
